Brief History
  • Dinas was formerly a municipal district of Margosatubig
  • It was later annexed to Pagadian (until 1941) and Dimataling.
  • Dinas became a separate municipality on November 9, 1950 by virtue of Exec. Order No. 362.
  • The town’s name was derived from the Maguindanao term di meaning “not” and nas meaning “bad luck” or “unlucky.”
