AMADEO


  • Balite Falls, in Brgy. Halang, are two falls which converge into a pool of water with a deep part for adults and a shallow part for children.  

BACOOR


  • The Cuenca Residence, along Gen. Evangelista Road in Brgy. Digman, was the headquarters of Gen. Aguinaldo in 1898. 

CARMONA


  • Ulong Tubig, in Brgy. Ulong Tubig, is a pool formed by natural spring water that comes from an adjacent hill. The area is shaded by coconut trees and other greenery.
  • The Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, in Southwoods Blvd., Brgy.Kabilang Baybay, is a private golf and country club.

CAVITE CITY


  • Fort San Felipe, at Sangley Point Naval Base, is located on a tip of land called Sangley Point accessed via a road from the city center.  Built in 1609, it figured prominently in the Cavite mutiny of January 20 to 21, 1872.  The 13 martyrs of Cavite were also executed here.   Made of 30-ft. high granite block walls with a wide stairway leading to the top of the fort, the fort now houses the Philippine Navy museum.  Naval memorabilia including antique cannons and cannon balls decorate the lawns.
  • The Ruins of Porta Vega, located among houses behind the City Hall, was a stone fort destroyed by the Dutch on June 10, 1647.
  • San Roque Church, beside the belfry ruins of Porta Vaga, enshrines the 17th century painting of the Nuestra Senora de la Soledad (Our Lady of Solitude).    Discovered beached on the seashore between Porta Vega and Barangay San Roque during a cholera epidemic in the 18th century, it is embellished with precious gems.  
  • The Cavite City Library and Museum, along R. Basa St. in San Roque, displays a permanent exhibit of photographs of Cavite City’s heroes, old furniture, memorabilia of the city’s mayors and Spanish and American era utensils. Open Mondays-Fridays, 8am-6pm.
