ANGAT


  • Church of St. Monica of Angat, first built by Fr. Juan Morelos, was rebuilt by Fr. Gregorio Giner and completed in 1802 by Fr. Joaquin Calvo.  It was heavily damaged by the earthquake of June 3, 1863.  Fr. Ignacio Manzanares restored the convent.  The church was recently renovated with great respect for its original style, it was completed in time for the town’s third centennial in 1983.
  • Baras Bakal is a stone cave and a former Katipunan hideout prior to Biak-na-Bato Cave.  It is a favorite picnic place especially in summer.

BALAGTAS


  • The Church of St. Lawrence the Martyr, damaged during the earthquakes of 1645 and 1880, was rebuilt by Fr. Francisco Martin Giron, adding a belfry, and building a convent from 1893 to 1898. 
  • The Bahay na Tisa was built in 1849 and is one of the oldest tiled-roof houses in the province.  

BALIWAG


  • The Mariano Ponce Commemorative Marker marks the site of the propagandist’s birthplace. 
  • The century-old Sentro ng Kalinangan at Kasaysayan, the town's museum, was once the town's municipal hall.  
  • The town’s High Renaissance-style, stone Church of St. Augustine was first built from 1769 to 1774 by Augustinian Fr. Gregorio Giner, rebuilt in with mortar and stone by Fr. Esteban Diez (who also built the convent) in 1830, damaged by 1880 earthquake and repaired by Fr. Thomas Gresa who also added the transept.

BULACAN


  • The town’s Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and convent was started in 1578 and finished in 1762.  It was burned during the British occupation, repaired in 1812 by Fr. Gaspar Folgar and damaged by the June 3, 1863 earthquake.  Fr. Marcos Hernandez rebuilt the slender belfry in 1877 which tilted after the earthquake. It was again damaged during the 1880 earthquake and rebuilt in 1884 into the Neo-Byzantine style by Fr. Francisco Valdez and finished in 1885 by Fr. Patricio Martin.  The tower was completely restored by Fr. Domingo de la Prieta in 1889.
  • Enriquez Ancestral House
  • Marcelo H. del Pilar Tomb and Monument, in Brgy. San Nicolas, marks the exact site where the “Great Propagandist” Marcelo Hilario del Pilar was born and where his mortal remains (transferred from the mausoleum of the Veterans of the Philippines Revolution located in the North Cemetery) are buried. The museum contains copies of the publications he edited, the most prominent of which is a bounded compilation of La Solidaridad’s issues. Admission is free.
