Waray is spoken by 4.62% of the total Philippine population.  It is spoken in Eastern Visayas provinces of Biliran (40.8%), Eastern Samar (98.5%), Leyte, Northern Samar (92.3%), Samar (90%) and Southern Leyte (99.3%). Here are some common Waray words and phrases useful for tourists:
